Bayern Munich attacker Arjen Robben believes it should be Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo and not team-mate Franck Ribery who wins the Ballon d'Or. Ribery helped Bayern to an unprecedented treble alongside Robben last season and has continued his irrepressible form into this campaign under new coach Pep Guardiola, earning him a place in the final three-man shortlist alongside Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi. However, Robben, who last year had a reported dressing-room bust-up with the Frenchman at half-time in the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, says it should be Ronaldo who is crowned this year's Ballon d'Or winner for his exceptional individual performances for both club and country. "I never had the award on my mind, even though I was nominated within the last 23 players," he told Voetbal International. "It's always the same players who are left over: Ronaldo, Messi and now Ribery joins these two, which is fully justified. "Because it's an individual award, I think it will go to Ronaldo. He really deserves it." The winner of the award, which has been won by Messi for the last four years running, will be unveiled at a Gala in Zurich on January 13.

 Prosecutors in South Florida have dropped charges against an excited fan who got onto the field and hugged Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo during an August match. The Miami-Dade state attorney's office announced Monday it would not prosecute 20-year-old Ronald Gjoka on trespassing charges. During Real Madrid's 3-1 Guinness International Champions Cup victory over Chelsea, Gjoka hugged Ronaldo for several seconds before police escorted him away. According to a memo from the state attorney's office, prosecutors made multiple attempts to contact the owners of Sun Life Stadium, where the match was held, but never received a response. Without a victim to testify, prosecutors say they can't move forward with the  

case. The Miami Dolphins operate Sun Life Stadium. A message left with a team spokesman wasn't

immediately returned.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Part of me thinks it's a nice tribute, another part of me feels it's a little

 creepy. According to Hollywood Life, it's being reported that Cody Walker, Paul's younger brother, was in talks to step into Fast & Furious 7: The details of Cody possibly replacing Paul are interesting. It seems it's more about using someone that looks like Paul, rather then a new character, but I guess they have to finish the movie, right? “[Producers] soon realized they needed someone who looked like Paul to finish the movie and that’s when they approached his nearly identical brother, Cody,” a source told Mail Online. “They can shoot Cody from behind and at distance. If it’s a shot they need Paul’s face in close up, they can CGI it later on.” Universal Pictures has already said that they would work with Paul’s family to make sure that his character, Brian O’Connor, would have a fitting exit, so it makes sense that they would want to work with Cody. Cody, who normally lives in Oregon, has been staying with his family in Los Angeles while they grieve, and Daily Mail’s source says that Cody would only work on the film if it helped honor his late brother’s memory. ”If Cody agrees it’s because he wants to honor his brother’s memory,” the source continued. “There are many details that still need to be worked out, but right now the family and cast and crew are all still grieving.”

The awards were decided by votes from a panel of journalists and pundits from around the globe. Members of the panel chose their top 10 players of the year, with points (ranging from one to 10) awarded to each selection.
