Pelé has declared that countryman Neymar will one day be even bigger and better than football titans Messi and Cristiano: "People like to compare him with Messi, but Messi has quite a few years more experience. So does Cristiano Ronaldo, a forward that today scores more goals, but I think that in the future Neymar will be the best", the football legend assured, while sharing a few of his football anecdotes with 500 children in New York. Answering the youngsters' questions, 'O Rei', as he was called between 1956 when he started playing for Brazilian club Santos, and 1977 when he retired at New York's Cosmos, said that the best players at the moment were Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, who he said was "still young, and brimming with talent". His young audience also wanted to know his favourite for the 2014 World Cup: "I have faith and believe that Brazil will make it through to the final. With Spain, or with Germany - as long as Brazil is there", he answered. "The fact I have won three World Cups in my life and scored thousands of goals is thanks to my friends and teammates. I didn't do it all by myself", he reminded the children. He then told them that his father , ex-football player 'Dondinho', always told the young Pelé that he had a lot of "talent", and that one day he could be a great player, "but the most important thing was to respect others, the other players, and to go to school." "The most important thing is to be together, friendship, because you can't be a champion all alone. You have to work as a team in order to get to be a champion", the learned ex-player insisted.
